Cathy and Shawn’s Dreamy Draw Park engagement session took place at a location nestled in the heart of the desert. It’s got great scenic views and is a wonderful setting for an afternoon walk, a bike ride, or a photo session! And we had such a blast with Cathy and Shawn there that we’re already excitedly counting down the days until their wedding! Not only did we notice that Cathy and Shawn were practically perfect for each other, but these guys are also so laid back and easy going… conversation flowed effortlessly, and it felt like we had been friends for years. And the icing on the cake? They brought their adorable fur baby, Murphy, and he is the sweetest little guy. Anyone who knows us knows we’re huge dog lovers, so you’ll never hear us complain about adorable puppies to play with during our sessions!

Cathy and Shawn’s love story is unique and one we absolutely adore. Cathy was visiting a friend in Arizona (she lived in New York at the time) and they both attended a beer fest during her visit. As luck would have it, that’s where she met a very buzzed Shawn, who found some liquid courage to strike up a conversation and later invite Cathy to a pool party. Fast forward to a couple years later, when Shawn got down on one knee and popped the question at the SAME beer fest that he and Cathy originally met, where it all began. We love that their love story came full circle on that special day!

Their upcoming wedding will be at Monorchid Art Gallery in Phoenix, and we’re absolutely giddy with excitement. Cathy and Shawn, thanks for such a fun time! We can’t wait until your big day – it’s going to be amazing!!
