The best weekends are the weekends filled with fun and adventure, and we’ve been so lucky in that that’s what life has been filled with lately. We’ve been very blessed to have been able to photograph an engagement session, a family session with one of our previous brides, and more recently, this past Sunday we had the honor of shooting one of our photographer friend’s maternity session! And the best part? We got to do it out in the beautiful Sonoita countryside again!

We’ve had the pleasure of knowing Stephanie, one half of In Bloom Images, since December of 2015 when Anh met Stephanie at a Christmas party for our local Tucson photographers. Since then, we’ve learned that she’s married to one hunk of a guy, Ryan, who is the other half of In Bloom Images, and they share one darling baby girl, Liv. And together, they are just the sweetest family who we absolutely adore! So picture our excitement and surprise when Stephanie and Ryan announced that they would be expecting a baby boy in August. And then picture our excitement multiplying ten times when they asked us to photograph their maternity session! It really is the biggest honor and we couldn’t have felt more humbled or gracious that they asked us!

On that day, Stephanie arrived looking as pretty as ever. We nearly did cartwheels when we saw the outfits that they wore to our session. So cute! Combine that with the beautiful scenery, great light, and one fun-loving family, and you’ve basically won your way to our photographer hearts! As dreamy as that all sounded, though, it definitely wasn’t easy. A couple of weeks before our session, the Sawmill fire came through and ravaged the area that we were originally going to shoot, which forced us to relocate to a new spot. That meant off roading a bit to a more remote area and trudging through a field of cow patties (yes, you read that right) to get to our area. Thank goodness for awesome friends and clients because despite all that, Stephanie and Ryan did it with a smile on their faces and still managed to look as gorgeous as ever.

Thank you Steph and Ryan for putting so much faith and trust in us!! We’re pretty sure our cheeks hurt by the end of the night because we were literally grinning the entire time. We hope you continue to enjoy and soak up this time as a family of three because pretty soon, life won’t ever be the same again… in the best way possible. We know that little Liv can’t wait to meet the newest family addition and neither can we! Until then, we’ll be counting down the days until Baby Bloom joins us!
