Vanessa and Nathan’s Hacienda Del Sol wedding is what wedding dreams are made of- especially if you love desert weddings just as much as we do! They tied the knot here at the beautiful Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort in Tucson, AZ and their wedding proved that simple and chic can be just as elegant when you use the desert to bring in natural elements for your wedding!

We learned that Vanessa and Nathan met in college (though we hilariously found out that their version of the story of how they met vary just slightly). They both live in Missouri now but fell in love with the idea of a true desert experience here in Tucson, and so the idea of a destination wedding came to fruition.

With careful planning, Vanessa and Nathan put together one of the sweetest weddings that we’ve been a part of. They used the natural desert landscape to draw inspiration with shades of pink, green, gold, and a touch of navy as their wedding colors. Vanessa’s beautiful bouquet came from Australia and get this… the Southwest inspired wooden arch that they got married under? Nathan picked up the wood from Home Depot the day before and they built the arbor the morning of the wedding! Best of all, Vanessa’s aunt performed the ceremony and was their officiant. It all made for a very memorable day.

During their wedding week, Tucson was experiencing unusually high temperatures, and so that prompted a change in reception location. The wedding celebrations were moved indoors and while that was a semi-last minute change, that didn’t stop the bride and groom from enjoying their day. With Hacienda Del Sol perched in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains, it provided a beautiful backdrop for an all around incredible day. The night ended on a high note with professional dance lessons for guests to enjoy and we all got to devour the most delicious cupcakes. They were delicately crafted with icing made to look like cactus and contained peanut butter and raspberry filling. They were every bit as scrumptious as they sound.

We knew Vanessa and Nathan were one amazing couple, but listening to their closest family and friends talk about how incredible these two are was one of the highlights of our night! We truly cannot believe how blessed we are to be working with the absolute best couples. Thank you so much Vanessa and Nate for inviting us into such an important day in your lives!
