After having lived here for more than 20 years, our hearts yearned for a project that allowed us to stretch our creativity as well as share our love for the city that we call home. And thus, the Desert Barrio became a renovation project that we have poured our hearts into. And with it now complete, we’re sharing it with you!

When we planned our home, we wanted to eliminate the need for you to pack really heavy suitcases! Our kitchen is stocked and ready for you to cook and we have ample bedding and towels for you during your stay! Other vacation goodies like a grill and board games are also available should you decide to spend the evening at home enjoying a relaxing BBQ!
What should we bring?
There is so much within a short driving distance from the home! Downtown is a 10 minute drive and a must-do place to visit. There are awesome grocery stores nearby, many restaurants, little shops, coffee and more. Mt Lemmon and Saguaro National Park are also easy access. We LOVE our location!

The home is nestled in a quaint neighborhood. We're proud to have created perfectly imperfect spaces for you to unwind, rest your head, and fuel up for days spent exploring in the desert. We created spaces WE love to enjoy with the hopes that you will love them too! There's everything you'd need (and more) while visiting Tucson!
What is your home like?
For authentic Southwestern experiences, Tucson fits the bill! We are part of the Sonoran Desert, which covers this region with spectacular cacti. But don't be fooled by the term “desert” because there are mountain ranges in all directions, offering scenic drives and even snow skiing! We are known for year- round sunshine. In the winter you can go for a hike in the valley, then drive up to Mt. Lemmon and enjoy the slopes!

We strongly recommend getting a rental car! There are many different rental companies you can rent from and it's (in our opinion) the best way to see and explore the city! And when you have a car, you can venture around the area and enjoy all our fave spots!
Do I need a rental car?
Most of our guests will fly into the Tucson airport, which is located on the south side of the city! The airport is TUS when you're booking your flights. It is 10 miles away from our home and is about a 15 minute drive. Most major airlines fly into TUS and it's a very easy airport to navigate!
