On a beautiful Saturday evening in September, Akasha and Hector celebrated their wedding. It was at the charming and historic Z Mansion in downtown Tucson. But before we begin to tell you how lovely the ceremony was, how incredibly gorgeous Akasha looked, or how perfectly the day played out, let’s back up and start at the beginning. You see, Akasha contacted us from out of state and we quickly learned that she was one busy gal! She had just finished law school, was studying for the bar exam, and was in the middle of moving back home to start a new job. All the while, planning a wedding! We. were. floored.
Because Akasha had such a busy schedule and she lived out of state, we didn’t get to meet her and Hector in person until the day of the wedding. In fact, almost all of Akasha and Hector’s family and friends came from out of town. But one thing we immediately noticed when we arrived on that one special day was how much love was present. Akasha’s family had rallied for her and had been lending her undying support while she pursued her education and career away from home. And Hector’s love and admiration for her? Well, it’s something even we struggle to put into words.
All we could notice was the smiles and laughter they exchanged when they were together. The way he responded to her and the way her eyes lit up when he was near, it was as if the rest of the world just simply melted away. Listening to the two of them and being in the presence of their friends and family while they said their vows to one another was such a joyful moment for us.
The ceremony was full of emotion and there couldn’t be a better venue than the Z Mansion, which is full of character, history, and charm, for their classic and timeless wedding. Dressed in a romantic ivory gown, Akasha was a picture of perfection, and all the little details – the matching bridesmaids robes, the yellow sunflower and succulent bouquets, and the invitations lovingly made by her sister, Biankha, had us gushing.
We felt so honored to be part of their celebration. Akasha and Hector, thank you for allowing us to share in your day. It was absolutely beautiful, and we wish you nothing but the best as you begin this new journey together. We also owe a debt of gratitude to the amazing team who brought it all to life!
Many thanks to the creative team who made the wedding so special…
